Why the change?
We felt that after 15 years of being a part of the Cartridge World franchise system and trading under the name of Cartridge World Nelson & Cartridge World Richmond it was time for a change, so in late 2020 we got together with other like minded entrepreneurs in our industry, the buying group Cartridge Universe was born. We are the first in New Zealand to be apart of this Global group. Here is what our global site says:
Cartridge Universe is a buying group of professional print industry experts. We are not a franchise.
Our store member family consists of locally owned and operated community businesses that are not only industry experts in printers and supplies but love what they do and enjoy the challenge of matching people with the right equipment, to not only save them money but make their daily printing needs easier.
Some members have been in the business of helping people with their print needs for over 20 years. The aim is to have big box mover buying power while delivering small business product knowledge, customer service and care that is quite often not achievable by the big chain stores because Cartridge Universe owners work in the store.
We know printers, and what printer is the right fit for you.
We Often find customers have been sold totally inappropriate printers that either cost too much to run or have higher service needs, because they purchased from a big box mover that just sold something on special or because the sales person was on an incentive.
Our partnerships have significant global printing industry experience and believe retailers (bricks/mortar and/or on-line) must operate differently to prosper in a rapidly changing market. We focus on a customer first principal right through the supply chain. Starting with a good printer user experience and value for money options.
Our coordinating Head office operates out of Hong Kong, close to the world capital of the printing consumables industry, with distribution partners covering, Holland, Spain, France, United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand with more to come on board.
